Our Mission
At Think Happy Art Company, our mission is to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and abilities - from toddlers to our most senior population - can explore their creativity through painting. We are committed to fostering positivity and connection while harnessing the neurological benefits of art to enhance cognitive well-being, reduce stress, and inspire joy. By embracing the transformative power of creativity, we aim to build a supportive community where everyone can experience the enriching and uplifting power of art.
We believe that creative expression should be accessible to all. That’s why we bring fully customizable art classes to a variety of settings, including rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, schools, childcare centers, private homes, and businesses. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to engage with art and enjoy its many benefits.
Our Story
The idea for Think Happy Art Company first came in 2020 as the Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the needs of our senior and homebound populations. More than ever, people were confined to their living spaces and separated from their loved ones. We wanted to find a way to serve our community and provide some fun and lighthearted enrichment during an otherwise difficult time.
I thought back to some of my happiest memories, many of which involved my grandmother, a canvas, and some paint brushes. My grandfather always used to say, “Don’t forget… Think happy thoughts!” He was a firm believer that the power of positivity could get you through anything. In keeping this ideal as well as my grandmother’s creative spirit alive, Think Happy Art Company was born and is proud to serve Southern and Central Florida.
Meet the Founder
A South Florida native, Allison’s love for art began at a young age. Growing up, she and her grandmother, an avid oil painter, spent hours painting and laughing together. After graduating from Barry University with her degree in Law and spending over ten years in the corporate world, Allison shifted gears back to some of her fondest memories.
She has a passion for connecting with people and strives to make a positive impact on the world around her. Allison has experience working with individuals with both physical and cognitive limitations and dedicates herself to ensuring that everyone can take part in the artistic process. Her belief in the neurological cognitive and emotional benefits of the arts and the power of sharing creative time with loved ones is the bedrock of Think Happy Art Company.
